Goat Island is New Zealand’s first marine reserve. It was created in 1975 and officially opened in 1977 and is famous for its big Snapper, blue Maomao and many other species of fish in easy access to shore. On the exposed side of Goat Island there is a drop off which offers a variety of life or you can dive in the more sheltered eastern side of Goat island. Its suits all abilities and is a perfect way to relax and take in the amazing underwater environment.

Adults The Great Track and Pack Pass is the best option for transport to and from the Queen Charlotte Track.
There is no time limit on the pass so it allows you to walk or bike the track in however many or few days you choose. Most people complete the track in 4 days, 3 nights although there is no standard way to complete the track, some people like to take their time and spend up to 7 days or some complete it in 2 or 3. Please ask our reservations office for advice if you are not sure how to plan your trip.
The Queen Charlotte Track is rated one of the Great Walks of New Zealand. This panoramic track offers virgin New Zealand bush, exceptional views and accommodation to cater for everyone's budget which is made up of camping grounds, backpackers and five star resorts.
We recommend that the track is walked or biked from north to south and your accommodation booked prior to your departure from Picton.
The Great Track and Pack Pass includes the following:

You need to allow yourself 3.5 hours to experience this activity which is surprisingly suitable for almost everyone.
After meeting at their base on the outskirts of Rotorua where you meet you guides who ooze professionalism and fun times, you'll be transported up to a magical forest that appears to have been lost in time. You'll immediately be struck with how you feel as you are transported to another world full of amazing trees, ferns, smells and noise.
Perhaps the most impressive feat by the team at Canopy Tours is over the past 10 years they have removed all the possums and rats from this once unloved and forgotten slice of New Zealand forest and restored it to a pest free environment - so much so that you can spot many bird species and in an amazing highlight of the experience, even handfeed wild robins.
The experience consists of 6 ziplines for a total of 1.2 kilometres. They vary from shooting you through tight gaps in the forest layer to giant swooping flights through deep forested valleys. There is even a 400 metre tandem line so you can race you partner... but this tour is so much more than an adrenaline rush.
In addition there are a number of suspended bridges that span wide valleys, floating staircases and one of the highlights - the 50 metre high cliff walk - that appears seemingly out of no where as you arrive perched high on it after a zipline flight out of the forest canopy.
It's a truly special experience, suitable for anyone with a okay level of fitness. It operates in all weather but does suspend operations when high winds exist.

iFLY Queenstown is NZ's only indoor skydiving attraction based in central Queenstown. iFLY creates a smooth, wall-to-wall cushion of air on which anyone can safely float - no experience necessary. Simply lean into the airflow and that's it - you're flying!
You'll have an instructor by your side through the whole experience - they will give you an orientation on the basics of flying so you can get the most out of your flights. Once you've been briefed you'll receive your full flight gear which includes a helmet and flight-suit.
Once in the wind tunnel, your instructor will be right by your side providing personal instruction and will be able to demonstrate new skills as you improve.

Adults Catch some waves in Raglan with a group surf lesson. This coastal town with its magnificent black sand coastline is an absolute surfing mecca. Raglan offers world-class surf breaks and some of the most consistent surf in the country. With a bit of help from your instructor you'll be riding the waves like a pro in no time.
The group lesson starts at Ngarunui Beach car park 5 minutes outside Raglan. Raglan Surf School chose to have a maximum ratio of 6 students to 1 instructor, this means they’re able to offer you plenty of personalised tips.
First, you’ll learn the basics of surfing and surfboard vocabulary, stance, posture and a proper dose of water and beach safety.
You’ll be fully prepared before you hit the surf! You’ll get custom fitted for a wetsuit and surfboard at the iconic Red fire-truck and wooden trailer, located at Ngarunui Beach car park.
After a quick regroup on the sand you’ll have your instructor right there beside you in the surf ready to help you choose your waves, help line your board up and even push you into waves. The goal is to have you paddling into waves yourself by the end of the lesson.
