No creative experience is necessary for this workshop. Just bring yourself and your enthusiasm!

What To Expect

You're in for a treat with breathtaking views and a flying experience high above beautiful Waiheke Island.

Passengers will check in at Waiheke Wings base 10 minutes prior to the scheduled flight departure time. A safety briefing will commence prior to flight.

After take-off from Waiheke Aerodrome you will immediately begin to enjoy incredible views. This flight allows you to soak up some of the local beauty right from the get-go, including the local beaches, coastline and many vineyards.

The flightpath allows you to see some of the most popular locations of Waiheke from a bird’s eye view. Heading out over the majestic beach and quaint town of Oneroa, you will see views of New Zealand’s youngest volcano – Rangitoto, with the Auckland CBD in the backdrop.

Flying from the southern side of the Island over to the eastern side, lookout over of the local oyster beds and mussel farms, that provide many restaurants on the island with these seafood delicacies.

This flight also offers views of Ponui, Pakatoa and Rotoroa Island which is just one of the country’s many beautiful nature reserves.

The last views on your descent will be of Onetangi Beach and its surrounding vineyards, leaving you wanting to try some of the locally produced wines that the island is globally recognised for.

Embark on a journey of discovery on Waiheke Island, just 35 minutes from downtown Auckland, with the 3-hour EcoZip Adventure. After being picked up at the ferry terminal you'll enjoy a fully commentated ‘Waiheke Highlights’ tour showcasing what Lonely Planet named ‘the playground of the gods’.

After 10 years of development, Anthony & Sandra Grant opened Sculptureum Galleries & Gardens and Rothko Restaurant on their 25-acre property at Matakana in April 2017. Many more years have been spent collecting a vast array of artwork from around the world to display.

Begin your Sculptureum Experience in the Garden of Creative Diversity which has 1.4km of paths leading through the Classical and Reflective gardens. Then move into the galleries and wind your way through the first five art galleries, all of which follow a different theme.

You'll then discover the two rear gardens which will delight, with their interesting mix of sculpture, artwork and stunning palm trees. Finish off with the sixth gallery which contains the stunning glass chandelier by American artist, Dale Chihuly.

On a sun-soaked hill overlooking the Sculptureum is a 14-acre vineyard from which is produced a range of premium Matakana wines. Here, you will sample four wines produced under the Art and Garden Series range and learn the flavours and characteristics of current vintages.

This  / Browns Island kayak tour is the perfect trip for anyone who wants an exciting and informative day on Auckland’s Waitemata Harbor.

Once called Browns Island and known by its original name of Motukorea (island of the pied oyster catcher bird), is one of the best-preserved volcanoes in the Auckland Volcanic Field. Private boats and sea kayaks are the only means of access to this untouched island.

Motukorea / Browns Island has a fascinating history. It was heavily cultivated by local Maori pre-European arrival and was the first home of Sir Logan Campbell (mayor of Auckland) and William Brown (1st Auckland member of parliament). These men are considered the founders of Auckland city.

On arriving at Motukorea, you'll trek to the summit, taking in the panoramic views along the way and learning about the island’s history. There are three ancient pa sites (Maori fortified village) on the island. The largest occupying the slopes of the main scoria cone.

What is Floating? Floatation involves lying in a super-saturated Epsom-salt solution about 30cm deep. The salt water solution is heated to skin temperature 35.5C. Once you are settled, it is almost impossible to tell which parts of your body are in the water and which aren’t. Sail out to one of the most iconic landmarks in the Hauraki Gulf - Rangitoto Island, and spend the day exploring.

Rangitoto erupted from the sea approximately 600 years ago in a series of dramatic explosions. Two episodes 10 to 50 years apart are thought to have lasted for several years each. This makes Rangitoto the youngest island in the Hauraki Gulf and the last and largest volcano to be formed in the Auckland volcanic field.

Exploring Rangitoto is a fantastic day adventure. A gentle climb through lava fields will lead you to the summit in approximately one hour. Allow extra time to explore the lava caves on the way back, or see the historic bach community near the wharf.

Ferry takes approximately 25 minutes from downtown Auckland.

This is a new one – head on into Sweet Axe and try your hand at axe throwing!! Throwing an axe is an exhilarating experience, one which you can feel for yourself in this safe & supportive space. It's an activity that rewards form over force, it's a leveler; anyone can do it!

The axe-perts will show you how it’s done before you learn how to throw for yourself & dive into a couple of fun games using your new found skills. Plus you get to enjoy some snacks & refreshments while you do it!

Here's what happens… A coach will take you through correct and safe throwing techniques one on one, to ensure you are ready. After a bit of practice you then  put your new skills to the test in a tournament. All very light hearted FUN.

It’s time to walk onto a film set of the science fiction adventure movie Origins. Projected light plays across the stage and a stunning light display with an epic intergalactic soundtrack begins. A gigantic robot and epic spaceship immerse you in an atmospheric sci-fi wonder.
