The fresh (non-geothermal) water comes from a beautiful aquifer spring, which is heated to just the right temperature for you to enjoy a relaxing 45-minute soak. The tubs can fit up to six people and come with complimentary drinking water and lockers. You can bring your own swimwear, or there is swimwear, towels, and robes for hire. Check in 15 minutes before your booked soak time.

Explore the unique café and bar in a backyard setting – which has smooth manuka-roasted coffee, Good George craft beer and cider, and Mills Reef wine.

Have a bite to eat, play lawn games and enjoy the outdoor campfires, or unwind with a “Shinny Dip” in the cute foot hot tubs, free with any drinks purchase.

Important Information

Here’s how it works – you book your tub for a 45-minute soak, and turn up at least 15 minutes before soak time to give yourself time to get changed and ready for hot tub awesomeness. If there are available hot tubs, walk-in bookings can be catered for, but best to book ahead so you don’t miss out.

hot-tubbing hours are from 9am to 10pm every day (we may be open longer for major night events held in the Waipa Valley). Last soak session starts at 9pm each night. Book your 45-minute soak on the hour or on every quarter hour.
Book up to 6 friends or family per tub, with larger groups needing to book multiple tubs and then decide how many people will share each pool.
Bring your own swim wear and towels, or rent them from reception.
Bookings can be rescheduled up to 4 hours before your reservation but cancellation requires 12 hours’ notice.
Alcohol may not be bought onto the premises, and Secret Spot is a non-smoking facility.
