Get on the bike and enjoy the incredible views along the Waikato River Trail, then, gear up the kayak for a jaunt around Lake Karapiro by Paddle. The team at Riverside Adventures Waikato will give you all the info you need for an epic day out. They’ll get you fitted on a modern bike, plus give you a return shuttle to/from their base to Arapuni Dam. There is over 100kms of grade 2 and 3 riding and a whole lake to explore on kayak.

The experience itself is a 90 minute state-of the art guided encounter that showcases the All Blacks through the latest innovation and technology. This full sensory and interactive experience allows New Zealanders to celebrate and understand New Zealand’s rugby heritage, achievements and culture.

This half-day geothermal experience completely immerses you in the unique environment of Waimangu Volcanic Valley.

You can explore the world’s youngest geothermal valley at your own pace, with walking trails for all abilities and ambitions. Sail out to one of the most iconic landmarks in the Hauraki Gulf – Rangitoto Island.

Rangitoto erupted from the sea approximately 600 years ago in a series of dramatic explosions. Two episodes 10 to 50 years apart are thought to have lasted for several years each.

This makes Rangitoto the youngest island in the Hauraki Gulf and the last and largest volcano to be formed in the Auckland volcanic field.

Exploring Rangitoto is a fantastic day adventure. A gentle climb through lava fields will lead you to the summit in approximately one hour. Allow extra time to explore the lava caves on the way back, or see the historic bach community near the wharf.

Ferry takes approximately 25 minutes from downtown Auckland.
