About half an hour out of Raglan you’ll find this unique location created by it’s owners as a place for people to rest and rejuvenate and get back in touch with nature. Where the tree’s, birds and the fresh water that runs through the property are put to the forefront.

And on this adventure it’s all about discovering this unique and remote location on horseback.

Riding over the farm base, then up the dominate Mt Karioi where you will see wonderful views of the beach, ocean and rolling valleys. Then ride through native bush, over streams and down onto the beautiful Ruapuke beach where the black iron (volcanic) sand glistens. Feel the wind on your face – this is a horse adventure with real landscape diversity!

The horse trek in this gift is a 2 1/2 – 3 hour adventure – and yes you will ride your horse into the West Coast ocean.

This ride has it all, and is tailored to suit riders every trek. Every ride is unique! You will need to be keen and a little adventurous and you will be well looked after. Novice riders are very welcome, and will be matched to the perfect horse. If you’re a more experienced rider,  a more challenging ride is possible.

On return it’s time for a delicious locally sourced bite to eat to reward you at the end. Feast on produce from the farm and garden, Raglan sourced bread, plus some good Kiwi wine and beer. This is a magic way to finish an amazing ride – food, beer, friends, family and the chance to meet new people while sitting with a view of the ocean.
